It is with great pleasure that we thank H Dunstan & Sons Ltd for their recent order to supply a new 3 tonne Volvo Excavator. The new EC27C machine was delivered with a selection of buckets operating on a manual quick hitch. Mr Brian Dunstan told me that they have had experience of owning and operating bigger Volvo construction equipment but nothing in the compact line. Brian had a real good look at the Volvo models at this years Royal Cornwall Show and was impressed with the stature/ build of the machines. The 1.5 to 8.8 ton size machines may be at the small end of the build scale, in comparison to the larger swing shovels but the amount of steel used in the build process, for strength and durability is at the top of the scale on these compact category machines. This coupled with the excellent back up provided by the manufacturer and us now makes Volvo a serious contender in all plant procurement.

It is true that historically speaking there has never been a big Volvo presence here in the Southwest, previous dealers have tended to neglect this region but this is changing and has been changing ever since we became the active dealer about 4 years ago, it is a slow progress. Mike Murphy our Sales man for Devon & Cornwall has been behind the Volvo product for some time now and is seeing things change and he believes that this is down to people wanting and needing the whole supply package and this is what we and Volvo Construction Equipment can offer together.

A well built machine at a competitive price.

Back up that is second to none. We do not run a sales and hire company! We sell new and used equipment with accessories and parts, back up service is number one to us, we are therefore not prioritizing the repair of a hire machine, over your machine just to keep that revenue coming in.

Good access to service items. We are the third largest independent parts stockist in the UK.

As a dealer we have a good working relationship with the manufacture. This is shown by the number of dealer/customer days that Volvo get us involved in.

You can access help and advice. We have parts personnel and a workshop foreman who are happy to help our customers when they are experiencing some difficulty.
