We have recently been pleased to re-supply Rob Bool Plant Hire of Illminster with another 5 ton Volvo Excavator. Rob was the owner of a Volvo EC55B which had to be replaced with a larger 13 ton machine, as that is what the work dictated at the time. Circumstances have again changed, which found Rob looking for a 5 ton machine with a zero tail swing radius, the ECR48C fitted the bill. Rob commented that he liked the build quality of the Volvo machines but another important factor in the purchase was the overall package, good residual values, competitively priced service items and a prompt local back up service, which we can only take partial credit for as Volvo UK know how to look after their customers. Rob with an array of his own machines, under takes general ground works as well as landscaping projects. He is also active in the agricultural world, involved with all aspects of farm up- keep, ditching, drains etc. As well as the 5 ton Volvo Rob still utilises another 13 ton zero tail swing machine as well as a tractor and dumper trailer. The machines come equipped with a section of accessories which include, hydraulic breakers, tilting grading buckets and grapples. Rob is one of those few remaining people that have machines that always look new and cared for, and this attitude is reflected in his work.
